Resident Artist Program
Develop your creative talents and build your future as an artist
Overview
As a resident artist, you will be involved in every aspect of Jacobs Glass Studio. While working in our on-site studio spaces to create your own artworks, we also encourage our resident artists to participate in studio classes as teachers, teaching assistants, or students.
The JGS resident artist program is a jump-start program designed for individuals who have creative ideas and need a space to bring them to fruition. Resident artists should leave JGS with a new body of work and basic studio skills necessary to run and operate a profitable studio practice. Our resident artists will also gain professional studio experience in a state-of-the-art, public-access studio.
This residency trains individuals in the proper day-to-day operation and care of equipment in our facilities, which cater to all artists at any skill level. Residents can expect to handle many routine responsibilities including: studio cleaning, equipment maintenance, and more.
